Ordering

Five convenient ways to order:

Fill out the on line secure (128 bit encryption) order form and submit it to us. Click on the "Click Here to Place Order" link above to access the order form.
Fill out the order form, and print it out and mail it to us with full payment included, either credit card information or a check or money order made out to The Hosta Patch.
Neatly hand write or type an order on a sheet of paper and mail it to us with full street address and full payment included.
Phone an order in with credit card information ready. Phone no. (847) 540-8051. Please note we are not readily available for phone calls, but please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as we are available.
Fax an order to us either an on line order form that has been completed and printed out, or a sheet of paper that has been neatly printed or typed with all credit card information included. Fax no. (847) 726-8052

We have no minimum, or maximum order requirements. At present, we only ship plants in the contiguous United States. We accept Visa or Mastercard charge cards. Some debit cards will not process correctly. Full payment for plants and shipping must accompany each order. Checks or money orders made payable to The Hosta Patch must accompany each mail in order. We do not have a retail outlet, and therefore no provisions for plants to be picked up.

Gift Certificates
They may be ordered in any amount. To order, you may use any of the methods of ordering. Instead of specifying a Hosta name just write Gift Certificate, and the amount you wish to spend.

Full payment for the amount requested must be included with each Gift Certificate order.
We will mail a Gift Certificate and a price list to that person. All they have to do is order the plants they wish and return the order with the original Gift Certificate to us and we will then ship their plants at the appropriate time.
If you wish to order plants, as a gift for someone, just fill in the name of the plants you wish to have sent. Remember to include the name of the person you are ordering the plants for and the address of the person the plants are to be shipped to.
Please allow 2 weeks to process the order and mail the Gift Certificate.

Substitutions
Orders will be filled on a first come first served basis. We will not substitute plants that are out of stock, unless you specify plant substitutions on you order. If we are out of the plants you order, we will issue a refund.

Shipping Regular Hosta
The cost of shipping for one plant is $6.00. Add $1.00 for each additional plant ordered. Orders of $200 or more will be shipped free of charge. Orders to Alaska must include 30% shipping.
Shipping Super Sized Hostas
Since these are larger more mature plants, they weigh more than the normal size plants and the cost of shipping will be greater. The $8.00 shipping for the first plant still applies, but please add $3.00 shipping for each additional Super Size plant that you order. Even with the increased shipping cost, these plants are still a good value.

Packing
All of our plants are field dug for your order. Plants are shipped bare root, wrapped in damp paper, and packed in plastic. Plants will be shipped via UPS, therefore a full street address must be included, as UPS does not ship to Post Office Boxes. Digging commences in May through September. Orders placed either before or after these times will be held until the next appropriate time to ship.

Please allow at least 2 weeks during the growing season(May-September) to process orders. During the busy shipping season (the month of May) please allow more time for your plants to be delivered. During May, everyone is expecting delivery of their plants and we do our best to get them shipped in a timely manner. However since we custom dig plants for each individual order, there are constraints of time and weather that need to be taken into consideration. Your patience is appreciated

Guarantee
We guarantee the plants we ship are true to type, disease and pest free. As we are unable to maintain any plants we do not posses, we do not make any guarantee beyond their healthy arrival. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your order upon arrival, please notify us immediately and we can make arrangements to return it for a refund. Your satisfaction with the plants you receive is very important to us. If you have any comments regarding your plants you may e-mail us, or drop us a note. Of course favorable comments are also welcome. Our commitment to offering quality plants, and customer satisfaction has continued our business success.

Privacy Information
We respect the privacy of our customers. The information provided by our customers is used only to process and ship an order. If an email address is provided with an order, it is only used to acknowledge an order and make contact regarding a current order. We do not compile address lists and do not save information from year to year.

Price List
Our webiste is our catalog. If you wish a hard copy, you may print the Quick List, which is a listing of Hosta plants by name and their prices.
